As the Centennial State, Colorado is the only state who will observe twin anniversaries in 2026 - our Sesquisemiquincentennial. (Colorado 150 years - sesquicentennial. United States, 250 years - semiquincentennial)

 In this course, we will focus on both US and Colorado history during the dynamic 15-year period between 1861 when Colorado become a US Territory and its Statehood in 1876.

 Alice Edwards has taught many CAL courses on Denver history including Dazzling Denver Dames and Early Denver Neighborhoods. In addition to his movies classes, Peter Livshin has facilitated many history-based CAL courses including Current Events and Military Nurses.
