 A crucial spot in Colorado’s development, Dillon is worth examining.  This course will offer a brief history of Dillon, looking at the people, the mountain setting, the ski industry, and recreation in the area, all of which changed life in Colorado. Participants will learn why there is a Lake Dillon and what led to the relocation of the town. Robin is an educator who grew up in the community that is now under the lake and will share how life was there. Her father was the mayor of New Dillon in the 1960s and president of the Dillon Development Committee as the old town moved to a new location.
